Join GE Healthcare as a Lead System Designer (LSD) for CT, driving innovation in hybrid CT solutions. You'll guide system design and development, ensuring rigorous processes are followed. This role involves close collaboration with global teams to achieve technical excellence and optimal system performance, delivering features on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. A strong background with imaging devices within the ecosystem is essential.
GE Healthcare is a global leader in medical technology and digital solutions, dedicated to improving lives at critical moments. We foster an environment where your ambition can flourish, turning groundbreaking ideas into reality. Be part of an organization where every voice contributes to building a healthier world.
Represent the design team through the entire product lifecycle, from initial requirements to design transfer. You will lead the flow-down of requirements, conduct architecture and system design analysis, and manage risk and cybersecurity assessments.
Key duties include overseeing integration and testing, ensuring smooth manufacturing processes, and providing support for field and customer issues. You'll also be instrumental in developing and executing verification and validation plans to meet stringent quality targets, collaborating with the Verification Lead to benchmark product quality and Non-Functional Requirements (NFR).
Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and fault-tolerant through detailed comparative analysis. You will work across global sites with diverse teams to manage technical and integration risks, alongside design trade-offs.
Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ensure Design History File (DHF) readiness for regulatory approvals and commercialization of CT programs. Contribute to product strategy, influence architectural decisions, and devise solutions for complex customer challenges.
Provide essential technical leadership, defining and evolving designs in a dynamic, agile environment using cutting-edge technologies and infrastructure.
This position demands advanced expertise in Engineering/Technology and Systems Architecture and Design, with a knowledge level equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
Essential qualifications include proven experience with Imaging modalities and handling Lead System Designer responsibilities. Experience in designing and developing Hardware (HW), Software (SW), and Systems, particularly in medical devices like CT and PET-CT, is highly desirable.
Several years of experience in SW design and development would be a significant asset. You should possess expert-level skills in stakeholder collaboration, decision influence, and strategic thinking.
A demonstrated history of successful problem definition, rigorous architectural/design practices, technical decomposition, and accurate project estimation is required. Analyze and develop design requirements at a domain level, aligning architectural needs with system development strategy and regulatory mandates.
Exhibit a strong ability to meet project goals while upholding quality, performance, and schedule commitments. Showcase advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, effectively evaluating information to make informed decisions and proactively addressing potential obstacles.
Desired attributes include the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, adapting to different time zones. You should also excel at providing oversight and mentoring to team members, with a talent for effective delegation and work governance.
