We are seeking an experienced Software Release Manager to oversee end-to-end release planning, scheduling, and orchestration for a portfolio of 7-8 interconnected software products and platforms. This crucial role involves establishing and maintaining an integrated release calendar, carefully balancing product roadmaps, engineering capacity, testing environments, customer commitments, regulatory needs, and inter-program dependencies. The ideal candidate will excel in complex enterprise settings, coordinating multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software releases. This individual will act as the central coordination point for release readiness, dependency management, environment planning, and deployment execution.

Key responsibilities include owning the enterprise release calendar for 7-8 products and platforms, developing integrated release schedules that account for development milestones, testing phases, production deployments, and customer onboarding timelines. You will coordinate release trains and major program increments across various teams, balancing priorities to optimize release frequency and stability. Managing dependencies across products, programs, infrastructure, vendors, and customers will be essential, requiring proactive identification, documentation, and tracking, along with facilitating review forums and driving cross-functional alignment.

Govern the utilization of critical testing and deployment environments, coordinating reservations and conflict resolution to ensure readiness and availability. Establish clear release entry and exit criteria, conduct readiness reviews, and go/no-go assessments. You will partner closely with engineering, product management, quality engineering, SRE, infrastructure, customer delivery, and operations teams. Communicate release plans, risks, and status effectively to both technical and executive audiences, driving alignment across globally distributed teams. Proactively identify schedule, environment, resource, and operational risks, developing mitigation plans and leading release war rooms when necessary. Define and monitor key release management KPIs to continuously improve processes and tooling.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. We are looking for a candidate with over 8 years of experience in software delivery, technical program management, release management, or engineering operations, including at least 5 years focused on managing enterprise-scale software releases. Proven experience coordinating releases across multiple products and engineering teams simultaneously is essential. A strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and Scrum methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and change and release management processes is necessary. Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependency chains and cross-functional delivery programs, coupled with strong project planning, organization, and risk-management skills, is key. Excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management capabilities are also vital.
