This role involves proposing and designing scalable solutions for our innovative products, leveraging new and cutting-edge technologies. You'll be an integral part of a dynamic team focused on delivering best-in-class business analytic and reporting solutions.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will design secure, reliable, and scalable solutions for customer-facing products. You will mentor junior team members, guide feature execution according to the roadmap, and support development teams while promoting agile methodologies. You will also define and support the technology strategy for operational insights products and collaborate with wider Mastercard architecture teams to ensure alignment with technical strategies and policies. Researching and evaluating technical solution alternatives using current and upcoming technologies will be key to your role.

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, alongside equivalent work experience. A thorough understanding and application of software engineering concepts and methodologies are essential. You should possess strong initiative, self-motivation, and a willingness to tackle challenging opportunities. Experience designing, developing, and deploying Java web services with a mix of persistence types is required, as are strong communication skills for conveying complex subjects to diverse audiences. Knowledge of DWH concepts and large data processing is also beneficial.
