Provide essential production support by acting as a subject matter expert for incident and problem ticket resolution. Plan, design, and develop robust technical solutions that meet business requirements, adhering strictly to MasterCard's standards and best practices.

Lead daily system development and maintenance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Foster innovation, cost-effectiveness, high quality, and rapid time-to-market in all developed solutions. Coordinate offshore development efforts and manage day-to-day activities.

Take ownership of the full systems development lifecycle, creating comprehensive requirements documents, use-cases, design specifications, performance benchmarks, and deployment plans. Participate in Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and assist in the selection of vendor solutions, technologies, methodologies, and frameworks.

Collaborate with vendor resources for product support. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on emerging technologies and frameworks. Provide technical training to team members and actively seek opportunities to enhance standards and streamline processes. Mentor and guide fellow team members throughout the SDLC and participate actively in Agile SAFe sessions, ensuring compliance with PCI security standards through thorough reviews.

A minimum of 8-12 years of comprehensive experience in Software Engineering, with a strong focus on Java development.

Demonstrate exceptional ownership, adaptability, and the ability to lead through influence, aligning stakeholders, driving decisions, and removing roadblocks.

Possess a deep understanding of service and platform-level system design, including distributed systems and event-driven architectures. Proficiency in advanced design patterns like dependency injection and lazy loading, coupled with experience in open frameworks such as Spring Boot.

Exhibit strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade systems. Expertise in Java, Spring, gRPC, and backend service development for high-performance, scalable applications is essential.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration is required. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, including cloud-native architectures and migration strategies, is also necessary.

Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra). Experience with Business Rule Management Systems (e.g., IBM ODM), and queuing technologies (e.g., MQ, Kafka) is expected.

Proven ability to lead design discussions, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering standards. Experience with modern development practices like Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews is critical. Familiarity with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management is also required.
