We are seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer with a focus on Java Backend Development to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical part of the payment ecosystem, ensuring seamless and secure transactions worldwide.

Contribute significantly to the planning, design, and development of sophisticated microservices.

Take ownership of building and maintaining full-stack applications and services, leveraging Java and cloud platforms like Kubernetes/PCF.

Deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable code that adheres to best practices.

Actively participate in code reviews and retrospectives, managing your contributions through Git Pull Requests.

Collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team, including software engineers, test engineers, TPMs, and PM-Ts.

Adhere to 12-factor app design principles and ensure systems comply with Mastercard's engineering best practices, governance, security, operations, and Enterprise Architecture standards.

A Bachelor's degree is required, complemented by a solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals.

Demonstrated strong leadership and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

Possess practical experience with modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and front-end frameworks like Angular.

Proven experience in building applications using Java and PCF, alongside expertise with storage technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle for large-scale solutions.

Familiarity with automated testing and continuous delivery models using Git is expected.
