Key responsibilities include spearheading the analysis, design, development, and delivery of robust software solutions. You will meticulously define requirements for new applications and customizations, strictly adhering to established standards and best practices.
Furthermore, you will automate build, operate, and run aspects of software, driving essential code/design/process trade-off discussions. Reporting on status, managing risks, and ensuring the integration of services with a focus on customer journey and experience are critical. Performing demos and acceptance discussions with product owners, along with developing a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end technical architecture, are also integral to this role. You will mentor team members, identify process improvement opportunities, and foster knowledge sharing within the program to enhance productivity and drive reuse of patterns and libraries.
We seek a Lead Software Engineer with 8-13 years of experience in software development, focusing on scalable, high-performing applications for real-time and batch processing. A strong foundation in Design and Architecture patterns, including APIs, event-driven services, batch services, and messaging systems, is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, REST API, Micro-services, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Kafka is required. Experience with Cloud and DevOps Architecture, including Kubernetes, Docker, Chef, Azure, and AWS, is highly valued. A solid understanding of databases like Oracle and open-source alternatives, along with tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Sonar, GIT, Maven, SQL Developer, and Jenkins, is expected. You must possess the ability to write secure Java code, understand secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT), and be adept at vulnerability management. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is necessary. A proven track record of coding complex software systems at scale within a fast-paced environment is a significant advantage.
