We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with Java expertise to join our globally distributed team. This role is crucial for delivering and maintaining high-availability, mission-critical payment platforms within a scaled Agile environment (SAFe). You will play a key part in the ongoing evolution and stability of these vital systems.

As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in:

- Driving Agile Delivery within an established Scrum team, actively participating in sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the SAFe framework. - Collaborating effectively with onshore engineering teams to deliver new features, resolve defects, and ensure seamless integration throughout the development lifecycle. - Designing, developing, and maintaining robust solutions across a multi-technology stack. - Providing essential support for critical live systems, ensuring optimal performance, resilience, and strict adherence to enterprise standards and security controls. - Championing continuous improvement by contributing to engineering best practices, developing automation solutions, and enhancing processes to boost delivery efficiency and overall quality.

We are looking for a technically proficient and collaborative Software Engineer who excels in complex, enterprise-scale environments.

Key qualifications include: - Demonstrated experience in Java-based backend development and with relational databases, specifically Oracle. - Proficiency with the Spring Boot framework. - Familiarity with TDD and BDD testing frameworks. - Practical knowledge of frontend technologies like Angular and JavaScript. - Solid understanding of SQL scripting and data handling. - Experience with REST, Messaging, and Event-Driven frameworks and solutions. - Exposure to DevOps tooling. - Working knowledge of security mechanisms. - Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments, ideally within SAFe. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive ownership mindset. - Excellent collaboration skills for working effectively across distributed teams.

Desirable experience includes exposure to payment systems or financial services, and supporting mission-critical, high-availability platforms.
