We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java to join our mission-critical systems delivery team. This role is integral to the evolution and stability of key payment platforms within a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

- Agile Delivery: Actively participate in sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement within a SAFe framework. - Distributed Collaboration: Work closely with onshore engineering teams to deliver features and resolve defects. - Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust solutions across a multi-technology stack. - Production Support: Ensure the performance, resilience, and adherence to standards of critical live systems. - Continuous Improvement: Contribute to engineering best practices, automation, and process enhancements for greater efficiency and quality.

We are looking for a technically adept and collaborative Software Engineer who excels in complex, enterprise-scale environments. Essential qualifications include:

- Proficient in Java backend development and Oracle relational databases. - Experience with the Spring Boot framework. - Knowledge of TDD and BDD testing methodologies. - Working familiarity with frontend technologies like Angular and JavaScript. - Competency in SQL scripting and data handling. - Experience with REST, Messaging, and Event-Driven architectures. - Exposure to DevOps tooling and security mechanisms. - Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments, ideally within SAFe. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to ownership. - Excellent collaboration skills within distributed teams.
