We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available payment network solutions. This role involves the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support of robust payment network solutions. You will be instrumental in building engaging front-end applications with a focus on exceptional user experience, ensuring seamless integration with secure backend APIs.

Key responsibilities include applying object-oriented design principles, SOLID principles, and secure coding practices. You will create comprehensive test suites, participate in peer reviews, and actively troubleshoot application, data, messaging, and performance issues. Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, observability, operational readiness, resiliency, and automation efforts is crucial.

Furthermore, you will collaborate effectively with product, architecture, testing, operations, and other engineering teams. This position also requires providing technical and product leadership, mentoring team members, and driving strategic decisions across multiple workstreams.

Ideal candidates possess hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, coupled with a strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and messaging platforms like Kafka. Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Micro Front End architecture, and UX implementation is essential.

Experience converting Figma designs into responsive, reusable, and accessible Angular components is required. Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, containers, and cloud-native platforms is expected. A solid grasp of secure, scalable, resilient, and observable software design principles is also necessary.

We require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. Experience in Agile environments and across the full software development lifecycle is a must. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are vital, as is the ability to work with globally distributed teams. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude CLI is mandatory. Prior experience in payments or financial services is a plus.
