This role is perfect for a collaborative, innovative, and experienced software engineer who thrives on tackling complex business challenges with cutting-edge technology. If you excel at communicating with stakeholders at all levels and inspire teams to think creatively, we want to hear from you as we build our new agile development team supporting Network Access solutions.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will ensure the high quality of application codebases and adherence to development standards. You will coach and mentor junior engineers, leveraging your technical expertise to foster their growth. Responsibilities include assisting in vendor assessments and recommending software development tools. You will design complex applications and integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity with a select number of systems.
Key duties involve leading performance engineering for the enterprise software architecture and providing guidance, advice, and training to other application developers. You will also be responsible for group-wide and external communications, articulating domain-level directions. Additionally, you will research and evaluate tools to support specific domain needs, engage in advanced code development, review pull requests, and manage day-to-day support tasks.
We are seeking candidates with extensive engineering experience, particularly in high-volume, low-latency transaction processing systems like payments switching, high-frequency trading, or global real-time event streaming. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, C++, and ESQL is essential. You should have a proven track record of delivering scalable products through CI/CD pipelines, deploying on-premises or in public cloud environments.
Demonstrated ability to ensure full-stack quality via rigorous CI/CD practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including builds, testing, and deployment, is crucial. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also a requirement for this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with event-driven systems like Apache Kafka or NATS, building microservice architectures with RESTful APIs, and cloud-native approaches on Linux using Spring Boot. Familiarity with virtualization technologies like Cloud Foundry (PCF), Kubernetes (PKS), and Docker, as well as CI/CD pipeline creation using Jenkins, is highly advantageous.
