As a Lead Software Engineer for the BE&O platform, you will provide senior technical leadership and hands-on development. Your responsibilities include:

- Leading the technical design and delivery of complex, data-intensive software solutions. - Defining and driving technical strategy for modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption and API-driven architectures. - Overseeing system design from platform architecture to detailed technical design and implementation. - Contributing directly to coding, testing, debugging, and delivering production-quality software. - Building and evolving scalable services, APIs, data pipelines, and analytical capabilities using AWS, Azure, Databricks, Spark/PySpark. - Collaborating with product managers, architects, data scientists, and operations teams to create robust technical solutions. - Coordinating technical execution across globally distributed engineering teams. - Championing engineering excellence through architecture and code reviews, and driving discussions on technical tradeoffs. - Identifying opportunities for platform improvement, automation, and enhanced developer productivity. - Mentoring junior engineers through design guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a strong track record in delivering scalable and reliable software. Key qualifications include:

- Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience in an agile environment. - Proven expertise in designing and building distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications. - Strong experience with data-intensive applications and analytics platforms; experience with Databricks, Spark, or PySpark is highly valued. - Demonstrated technical leadership in system architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery. - Experience driving technology modernization, cloud adoption, and legacy system transformation. - Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, and observability. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams. - Experience leading technical initiatives across globally distributed teams. - A passion for mentoring engineers and a strong ability to solve complex problems and drive results. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. An advanced degree is a plus.
