We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Payments Network Technology team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting robust payment processing applications and advanced automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java development skills, with a significant emphasis on building automated validation for end-to-end transaction flows.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable Java-based applications and services. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining automated test frameworks using technologies like Java, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG, and API automation tools.
Develop solutions to support core payment processing functions such as authorization, tokenization, clearing, and settlement. Create automated validation for ISO 8583 messages, transaction routing, response handling, and various exception scenarios.
Participate actively in architecture and design discussions, code reviews, and production support. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enhance release quality and boost engineering productivity. Troubleshoot complex payment processing issues, collaborating effectively with engineering, product, and operations teams. Additionally, mentor junior engineers and champion engineering and automation best practices across teams.
We are looking for a skilled Java developer with a passion for building reliable and scalable software. Essential skills include strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and distributed systems, alongside a proven track record in designing and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
A solid understanding of automated testing principles and test framework design is crucial. Proficiency with Java-based automation frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG, Rest Assured, or Selenium is required. Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging and payment transaction processing, including authorization, clearing, tokenization, and settlement, is highly valued.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, and cloud-native development practices is necessary. Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are expected. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Familiarity with Agile development environments and AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude CLI is beneficial. Previous experience in the payments or financial services sector is preferred.
