Lead the architecture and system design for expansive distributed cloud platforms, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and security. Design and refine microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures, translating business needs into robust technical strategies. You will own non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and observability. Drive the adoption of cloud-native principles and domain-driven design.

Build and enhance high-performance full-stack applications using Java and Angular on cloud platforms like PCF/Kubernetes. Establish and enforce stringent engineering standards for code quality, security, and performance. Lead design and code reviews, and champion CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation practices. Develop modern Angular-based architectures, including micro-frontends, and build reusable UI components and scalable design systems. Optimize applications for performance and cross-platform compatibility. Architect and integrate AI-powered capabilities, driving the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and ensuring responsible AI practices.

Provide technical mentorship, elevating engineering capabilities across teams. Influence technology strategy and platform evolution. Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and BizOps teams to align roadmaps and delivery, ensuring compliance with Mastercard's engineering, security, and enterprise standards.

Possess a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and system design, with proven experience in building large-scale distributed systems and microservices. Demonstrable expertise in Java (Spring Boot), backend engineering, API design, and event-driven systems is essential.

Proficiency with cloud platforms (PCF, Kubernetes), relational databases (Oracle), and large-scale data modeling is required. You should have expertise in performance engineering, resiliency patterns, and scalability. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and release pipelines is crucial. Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and production support is expected.

Deep expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and state management (NgRx) is required, along with experience in micro-frontends and component-driven architectures. A strong understanding of performance optimization, lazy loading, and rendering strategies is key. Familiarity with UI testing frameworks like Cypress and a focus on usability, accessibility, and intuitive design are highly valued.
