As a Service Architect, you will be instrumental in delivering end-to-end product development for Switching Solutions. This includes full-stack development utilizing microservices, messaging/event-driven frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines within a cloud-native environment, specifically on Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

You will ensure that quality, performance, information security, and other non-functional requirements (NFRs) consistently meet benchmarks. Guiding and mentoring development teams, training them on necessary technologies, and effectively coordinating with global teams—including Business Owners, Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture, and other product teams—are key aspects of this role.

Furthermore, you will lead initiatives to enhance automation, improve defect metrics, and elevate overall quality. Conducting proofs-of-concept based on technological and business needs, and taking ownership of decisions regarding relevant tools, technologies, and implementation patterns for services will be critical.

We are looking for a strong, hands-on technologist with exceptional Object-Oriented Design and clean programming skills in Java, adhering to SOLID design principles for creating scalable and reusable components. A passion for emerging technologies, particularly Event Driven Architecture and modern caching/persistence mechanisms, is essential.

Demonstrate strong experience in product development using Digital Native Architecture, the Spring Boot framework, and cloud technology (Pivotal Cloud Foundry is preferred) within an Agile (SAFe) Development Environment. The ability to analyze, conceptualize, and create cutting-edge technical solutions that align with business needs is paramount.

Extensive experience in developing online, real-time application features is required. You should be a results-oriented professional with robust communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with Business Owners, Architecture teams, Development/Test teams, and Vendors. Strong coordination and organizational abilities are necessary to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across various locations. A thorough understanding and practical experience within an Agile (SaFe) environment are also crucial.
