As a Lead Software Engineer, you will tackle complex, cross-service challenges and drive resolutions through cross-functional team collaboration. You will write high-quality code, promote secure development practices, and define/develop service-level solutions to meet evolving business needs.

Your role will involve actively participating in agile processes, contributing to prioritization, and identifying opportunities for service enhancement. You will champion automation to simplify software delivery and development, demonstrating engineering excellence through hands-on troubleshooting and refactoring. Driving seamless integrations, fostering a blameless postmortem culture, and introducing new technologies while advocating for engineering principles across organizations will be key.

Additionally, you will provide architectural guidance, build strong inter-organizational partnerships, and evaluate candidates for promotions based on merit. Conducting technical interviews to uphold performance standards and managing globally dispersed development resources on large-scale projects will also be part of your responsibilities.

We are seeking candidates proficient in secure coding across at least three languages, such as Java, JavaScript, and SQL. Familiarity with secure coding standards (OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management is essential.

Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud-first development is preferred. You should understand and implement standard branching strategies like Gitflow, moving towards trunk-based development. Proficiency in using tools for code quality scanning and anti-pattern detection (Sonar, Zally, Checkmarx) is expected.

Skills in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), along with maintaining a healthy testing pyramid, are crucial. A solid grasp of basic and advanced design patterns, API standards, and cataloging for service adoption is required. Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and modern SDLC practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, and quality engineering, is necessary.

You should be skilled in elaborating non-functional requirements (security, regulatory, performance) and orchestrating release workflows via standardized CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with various application patterns and debugging/troubleshooting techniques, including dump analysis, is also important. The ability to conduct product demos, coordinate with product owners, and understand customer journeys to minimize Mean Time to Mitigate (MTTM) and ensure high availability are key attributes.
