This Lead Software Engineer role focuses on developing next-generation payment solutions for in-store, in-app, and online environments. You will be instrumental in leading the development of microservices-based enterprise applications using the Java J2EE stack, as well as creating portals for customer care, end-users, and representatives. If you are passionate about pioneering payment technologies and have a proven track record in leading complex enterprise applications with expertise in the latest J2EE frameworks, we encourage you to apply.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle, from understanding requirements and estimations to design, development, and acceptance testing. You will collaborate closely with Project Architects, Business Analysts, and customers to define both high-level and low-level designs. Developing critical components, creating proof-of-concepts for novel use cases, and conducting code reviews to ensure overall code quality are key aspects of this role. You will also coach and mentor junior team members, manage SCM operations (branching, merging, tagging, conflict resolution), and study emerging technologies to enhance existing solutions. Adherence to organizational processes and policies, protection of intellectual property, and participation in organization-level improvements and knowledge sharing are also expected.
Essential qualifications include extensive hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, Spring frameworks (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security), SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (Cassandra), and web services (JSON, SOAP). Proficiency in Kafka, Zookeeper, and the development and deployment of microservice applications on public clouds like Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure is required. Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse/My Eclipse, UML tools (MS Visio, PlantUML), and unit testing frameworks like JUnit is also necessary. Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Ant/Gradle), version control systems (GIT), and Agile methodologies is crucial. Strong logical and analytical skills, excellent design capabilities, and the ability to communicate clearly and precisely in English (written and verbal) are personal attributes we seek. Knowledge of design patterns and security concepts (e.g., authentication, authorization, confidentiality) and protocols is essential for enterprise applications.
