As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring production readiness by partnering closely with development teams. Your mission includes driving operational excellence in availability, performance, and monitoring, while supporting daily operations with a focus on root cause analysis and business impact.
You will champion a "shift-left" approach, engaging early in the development cycle to enhance reliability and managing risk and compliance across all environments. This role involves standardizing support functions and acting as a crucial communication bridge between stakeholders. A key aspect is aligning product and customer priorities with operational needs, ensuring seamless service lifecycle management from design to deployment.
We are looking for individuals with a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, scripting, and software design, coupled with a systematic problem-solving approach. Experience in debugging, optimizing code, and automating manual tasks is essential.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby is required, along with experience troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef is crucial for designing and implementing efficient deployment flows.
This position requires the ability to handle high-pressure situations, make urgent decisions, and work effectively with a globally distributed team. Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior engineers will also be a significant part of your contribution.
