As a Sr. Kubernetes ISTIO Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating scalable and secure Kubernetes platforms on AWS EKS and Oracle OKE. Architect and manage the Istio service mesh across complex environments, implementing advanced traffic management and security policies.

Key duties include optimizing cluster performance, building robust observability platforms, and automating infrastructure lifecycles using tools like Terraform and GitOps. You will troubleshoot intricate issues, define reliability metrics, and integrate with cloud networking components.

Furthermore, you will foster platform self-service, mentor teams, and promote best practices in platform engineering. Your role involves driving Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and enhancing service quality through data-driven analysis.

We are seeking a candidate with extensive hands-on experience in Kubernetes platform engineering, including production use of Istio and Envoy. A strong understanding of AWS EKS and Oracle OKE is essential, alongside proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tools.

Demonstrated expertise in cloud networking, mTLS, zero-trust principles, and observability tools is required. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go for automation is crucial. Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices is also necessary.

Desired qualifications include certifications such as CKA/CKAD/CKS, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, or OCI Architect. The ideal candidate will possess 7-9 years of relevant business experience, exhibit strong analytical acumen, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
