The Engineering, AI & Data team drives mission-critical initiatives, modernizing existing systems and implementing innovative technology products and platforms to enhance financial performance and accelerate digital business growth.

Take full ownership of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance. Craft production-ready, testable code for backend services, frontend applications, and CI/CD pipelines. Define solution architectures that integrate best practices with stringent security, scalability, reliability, and performance requirements.

Analyze and resolve failures, propose architectural enhancements, and champion operational excellence. Ensure all development adheres to security and regulatory standards, embedding software reliability engineering principles daily. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and contribute to the technology roadmap, utilizing Gen AI coding techniques for accelerated development and codebase navigation.

Collaborate seamlessly with global teams across time zones, ensuring aligned and high-quality project delivery. Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive and actionable feedback. Mentor team members, share expertise, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Prioritize and size tasks for incremental delivery, proactively communicating blockers and risks.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, coupled with 7 to 9 years of relevant professional experience. A Master's degree or equivalent work experience is also acceptable, with the same 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated experience in architecting and building highly maintainable, extensible, and testable distributed systems is crucial. Proficiency in modern frontend and backend frameworks such as Node.js/Next.js with TypeScript and React (or Angular/Vue) is essential for creating responsive UIs and integrating with REST APIs.

Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices and APIs using Java/Spring Boot, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, is expected. Strong background developing cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, EKS, and RDS, is a key requirement.

Ability to design low-latency, high-throughput systems that scale reliably under heavy load, employing strategies like circuit breakers, rate limiting, and caching, is necessary. Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Apigee, Istio, Kubernetes, and Rancher is advantageous.

Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript design patterns and building scalable backend services with Java and Spring Boot is required. Solid understanding of version control and collaborative workflows using Git (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews) is essential. The ability to analyze complex systems, identify priorities, and consider multiple domains within an analysis is important.

Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps principles, including continuous integration and deployment automation, is highly valued. Technical proficiency to define and fulfill end-user solution requirements, with a preferred skill in securing applications and containers using certificates, is also desirable.
