Architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts, regions, and availability zones. Champion Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform, developing reusable modules and ensuring adherence to standards. Administer and advance Amazon EKS clusters, managing upgrades, network configurations, and the full cluster lifecycle. Develop and maintain Helm charts for complex applications, integrating open-source solutions and resolving intricate deployment issues. Build custom Kubernetes controllers and operators to enhance platform functionality. Define and promote multi-cloud architectural best practices. Analyze and resolve complex infrastructure challenges, devising and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate extensively with development, security, and architecture teams, translating technical concepts for various audiences. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Expertise required in: - Production-grade Terraform configurations, module development, and workspace management for environment segregation. - Provisioning and managing AWS resources, including EKS clusters, VPC networking, and related services via Terraform. - Advanced EKS administration, covering cluster provisioning, IAM integration, node group management, and day-2 operations. - Kubernetes operational experience, including workload management, RBAC, networking, storage, autoscaling, and observability. - Developing custom Kubernetes controllers/operators using frameworks like controller-runtime or Kubebuilder. - Hands-on experience with AWS Load Balancer Controller and Kubernetes Gateway API. - Authoring Helm charts for complex production workloads and managing umbrella charts. - Deploying and operating Istio in production Kubernetes environments, including Sidecar and Ambient mesh modes. - Designing and operating multi-region, multi-AZ AWS architectures, with deep knowledge of core AWS services (EKS, VPC, EC2, S3, API Gateway, Route 53, ACM, PCA). - A solid understanding of TLS, mTLS, and PKI fundamentals.
