Design for performance, scalability, reliability, and interoperability. Conduct architecture reviews and evaluate emerging technologies.

Drive software development quality by leading requirements analysis, establishing foundational code, and serving as a subject matter expert. Improve development lifecycle practices, coach engineers, and lead design, code, and process reviews. Resolve complex software and distributed systems issues and define API integration strategies. Enhance functional and non-functional testing, quality assurance, and observability.

Champion performance and scalability initiatives, partnering with teams to strengthen service availability and reliability. Establish shared observability frameworks, SLOs, and capacity models. Guide system maintenance, upgrades, and patching, and expand automation for efficiency. Lead investigations into complex customer issues, providing expert technical guidance and advocating for customer needs.

Partner with security and engineering leaders to define secure development practices and architectural controls. Ensure software meets quality standards and implement solutions to prevent security vulnerabilities. Promote industry best practices and coach engineers.
