We also collaborate closely with other departments, supporting platforms such as GitHub, Sonar, Artifactory, and Terraform.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will embody Mastercard's values, focusing on customer impact and excellence. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of development, testing, and deployment tasks at the application and software component level. You'll be adept at troubleshooting and refactoring existing codebases, embracing new languages and architectural patterns as needed.

This role involves influencing team decisions, providing support and mentorship to peers and less experienced colleagues, and demonstrating a continuous commitment to active learning. You'll play a key role in problem-solving, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and leading Mastercard's adoption of DevOps automation and best practices.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a proven track record in industry-standard CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Git/BitBucket, and Artifactory. Essential is the experience in designing and implementing efficient CI/CD workflows that ensure high-quality code delivery from development to production with minimal manual intervention. Experience administering Cloudbees or open-source Jenkins is highly desirable.

Preferred programming skills include Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Perl, or Ruby. Responsibilities encompass designing, implementing, and enhancing deployment automation using Chef (Infra, Habitat). You will leverage Jenkins to orchestrate builds, integrating with Sonar, Chef, Maven, and Artifactory to establish comprehensive CI/CD pipelines. A holistic approach to service lifecycle management, from inception to operation and refinement, is expected. Scaling systems sustainably through automation and evolving them for improved reliability and velocity are core objectives. Commitment to sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems is crucial.
