Join Mastercard's Identity Solutions team as a Lead Platform Engineer, instrumental in building and scaling our robust AWS cloud infrastructure. As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will spearhead infrastructure planning, design, and scaling initiatives. Your responsibilities include developing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Argo CD, and Terraform. You will also manage and enhance security and availability monitoring, deploy and supervise workloads in AWS, and ensure the smooth operation of Kubernetes (EKS) clusters.

Additionally, you will perfect load balancing and service mesh technologies, maintain comprehensive documentation, and build monitoring tools with Prometheus. A key part of this role involves collaborating with and advising other engineering teams, troubleshooting complex issues, and participating in on-call rotations. You'll also contribute to custom tool development using languages like Go, Python, and Bash.

We are seeking a collaborative team player with excellent English communication skills and leadership experience. A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.

Proficiency is expected in AWS networking services, including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, ELB, Route 53, Security Groups, and NACLs. You should possess a strong understanding of hybrid connectivity, multi-region architectures, and latency reduction techniques.

Demonstrated expertise with Linux/UNIX systems, provisioning tools (Ansible/Chef/Terraform), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is essential. Programming aptitude in Go, Python, or Bash, along with knowledge of database systems like MySQL/PostgreSQL, is also required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or BizOps role is necessary.
