As a Lead IT Architect, Data Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing a robust data architecture aligned with organizational business goals. This involves developing comprehensive data models, defining clear data standards and guidelines, and establishing efficient processes for data integration, migration, and management.
You will create and maintain data dictionaries, providing essential context and understanding of the organization's data assets. Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the enterprise is paramount, requiring the establishment and ongoing monitoring of data quality metrics.
Collaboration with fellow IT professionals, including database administrators, data analysts, and developers, is key to ensuring the seamless integration and alignment of the data architecture with other IT systems. Staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in data management and architecture, and evaluating their potential impact, is also a critical aspect of this role. Effectively communicating with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives is essential.
The ideal candidate will hold a B.Tech or M.Tech degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. A minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture is required, coupled with demonstrated expertise in data modeling and design, encompassing conceptual, logical, and physical models, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective data models.
Proficiency is expected across various data management technologies, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Expertise in ETL processes, covering data extraction, transformation, and loading, with the ability to design and implement data integration solutions, is essential.
Familiarity with industry-standard data architecture frameworks like TOGAF or the Zachman Framework is required, along with the ability to apply them. Experience with cloud computing technologies, including public and private clouds, and the capability to design and implement data architectures leveraging cloud environments are necessary. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools and techniques is also required. While not mandatory, certificates in Database Management will be considered an advantage.
