As a Lead/Principal AI Software Engineer at BCG X, you will own the end-to-end AI value chain, from framing business challenges and designing innovative algorithms to implementing and deploying scalable solutions. You'll collaborate with clients across diverse BCG regions and industries, guiding them through AI-led business transformations and the development of novel solutions.

Your role involves developing and sharing thought leadership within scientific communities and presenting at conferences on behalf of BCG X. We are seeking individuals passionate about software development, large-scale Generative AI and Agentic AI programs, and transforming organizations into AI-powered innovators. You will apply AI capabilities to business challenges, develop solutions for Conversational AI or Agentic process automation, and manage the full product lifecycle including design, scoping, development, deployment, and adoption. Guiding non-technical teams and consultants on best practices for robust Agentic AI platforms and optimizing solutions for accuracy, latency, and cost are key aspects of this position.

We are looking for seasoned professionals with deep expertise in software development and experience working with global, remote agile squads. Proficiency in implementing AI platforms such as LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, GCP Geminin Enterprise, and Azure AI Foundry is essential. You should be adept at optimizing computational efficiency for algorithms and LLMs, alongside a solid understanding of data storage, manipulation, and management for relational, non-relational, and streaming data structures.

Familiarity with parallel computing, working on Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is expected. You must apply robust software development practices and standards to create maintainable software. A comfortable client-facing presence, the ability to manage engagements, cultivate client relationships, and provide thought leadership are crucial.
