Altimetrik is seeking experienced Network Engineers to join a vital 24x7 Network Operations Centre. This role supports a highly available, regulated payments platform hosted on AWS. You'll play a key part in resolving complex network incidents and managing changes, leveraging your expertise in core AWS networking and Palo Alto Networks solutions.

This position involves supporting less experienced team members and working within a rota that spans UK and APAC coverage, ensuring continuous operational excellence.

Provide deep technical expertise for intricate network incidents and planned changes. Operate and maintain core AWS networking services and Palo Alto Networks security infrastructure. Actively support and mentor junior engineers within the team. Contribute to a rota system to ensure comprehensive coverage across UK and APAC time zones. Manage and troubleshoot cloud-native security and monitoring tools.

Possess strong knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC, Subnets, Routing, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect. Demonstrate hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security appliances. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is essential. Familiarity with AWS-native security and monitoring tools such as Network Firewall, GuardDuty, and VPC Flow Logs is required. Experience in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies is a must. Understanding of hybrid cloud networking and secure cloud-to-on-premises connectivity is necessary. Experience with compliance and governance standards in regulated environments is advantageous. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in network engineering, preferably with cloud-hosted infrastructure in regulated settings.
