Join Mastercard as a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect/Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and operating the core platforms that empower our product and service teams to deliver securely, reliably, and at scale. As a technical leader, you will drive critical Azure infrastructure initiatives, owning the architecture and design of key components. You'll establish robust standards and patterns for secure, scalable cloud solutions, while facilitating cross-team technical alignment. Empowering developer autonomy through self-service provisioning and platforms is a key objective. Proactively identify and mitigate systemic risks, and mentor senior engineers, elevating the team's technical capabilities. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective platform solutions.

We are seeking candidates with 8-12 years of extensive experience in designing and operating Azure cloud infrastructure at scale, including compute, networking, storage, and identity services. Deep expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, ARM, or Bicep is essential. A strong grasp of cloud security, networking concepts, and building resilient, highly available platforms is required. Proven ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end, championing operability and cost efficiency, is critical. Advanced troubleshooting skills, experience with enterprise CI/CD practices, and a track record of mentoring engineers are highly valued.
