Our Product Engineering team is integral to this mission, focusing on digital and streaming products. We are seeking a motivated QA Engineer II to contribute to our expanding quality engineering efforts within the Ads, Data, and eCommerce domains. This role is instrumental in scaling automation and elevating quality across diverse systems.
You will be responsible for developing advanced test automation frameworks and robust quality processes, directly impacting ad delivery, data integrity, and seamless eCommerce experiences. Your work will ensure system reliability, enhance customer trust, and reduce production costs. This is a unique opportunity to influence test architecture and drive engineering excellence in a dynamic environment.
As a QA Engineer II, you will collaborate closely with Software Engineers to grasp DEEP&T's complex ecosystem. You will develop sophisticated automated test frameworks and suites for UI, API, and integration testing, leveraging Python or other object-oriented languages.
Your contributions will extend to participating in platform design discussions to facilitate richer testing scenarios, thereby simplifying defect detection and prevention. You will also assist in triaging, diagnosing, and resolving issues across teams, and contribute to end-to-end acceptance tests.
Where manual testing is necessary, you will develop and execute test cases. A key aspect of this role is driving the conversion of manual tests to automated solutions, ensuring continuous improvement in our testing strategies and practices.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in software test development, encompassing both functional and non-functional testing.
A solid foundation in Python or another object-oriented language is essential, along with knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches. A passion for driving best practices in testing and a strong desire for establishing and improving product quality are highly valued.
Experience in building or enhancing test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and pipeline development (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker) is required. Proficiency in UI automation tools like Selenium, and experience with BDD/TDD methodologies using Gherkin, is also necessary. A B.S. in Computer Science, or an equivalent degree or work experience, is the educational foundation we seek.
