Join Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology as a QA Engineer II in Bengaluru, driving quality across Ads, Data, and eCommerce domains. This role is pivotal in scaling automation and enhancing quality for diverse systems, focusing on building robust test automation frameworks and quality processes.
Your contributions will ensure high-quality ad delivery, integrity of large-scale data pipelines, and seamless eCommerce experiences. You'll play a key part in strengthening test automation strategies, leading quality initiatives, and fostering engineering excellence. Collaborate closely with Software Engineers to understand DEEP&T's complex ecosystem. Develop automated test frameworks and suites for UI, API, and integration levels using Python or other object-oriented languages. Contribute to platform design discussions to evolve the platform, enabling richer testing scenarios and simplifying defect detection. Assist in triaging, diagnosing, and resolving issues identified across teams. Contribute to end-to-end acceptance tests. Develop and execute manual test cases where automation is not feasible. Drive the conversion of manual tests to automated solutions whenever possible.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on software test development experience, encompassing both functional and non-functional testing. Demonstrated passion for advancing best practices within the testing domain. Solid proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language. Knowledge of software engineering practices and Agile methodologies. A strong drive to establish and improve product quality. Experience in building or enhancing test automation frameworks. Familiarity with CI/CD integration and pipeline development using tools like Jenkins or Spinnaker. Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Robot, or Watir. Experience with Gherkin for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD). A willingness to embrace challenges and collaborate effectively within a team environment. A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or an equivalent degree or relevant work experience.
