Join our Engineering as a Service team in Hyderabad as an Intermediate Guidewire Developer. This role offers the opportunity to independently work on Guidewire components, ensuring stable, compliant, and enterprise-standard code. You'll be a key individual contributor, providing guidance to junior engineers.

As a core member of the team, you'll be responsible for platform and solution ownership, focusing on maximizing out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities. When necessary, you'll collaborate with senior engineers on justified customizations, ensuring technical leadership and adherence to delivery governance.

This position also involves production ownership and operational accountability. You'll play a vital role in supporting root-cause analysis for critical incidents and driving permanent solutions. Effective stakeholder and cross-functional collaboration with Business Systems Analysts and Product Owners will be essential for shaping solutions and defining scope.

Take ownership of platform and solution development, demonstrating expertise in areas like PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Digital Platforms (Engage, Jutro), and Integrations/APIs.

Ensure solutions leverage Guidewire's out-of-the-box features, with customizations developed only when essential, in collaboration with senior engineering staff.

Maintain high code quality through peer reviews and adherence to established engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.

Provide critical support for production stability by participating in root-cause analysis of incidents and implementing robust, long-term fixes.

Collaborate closely with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, and Senior Engineers to shape solution options and define project scope and acceptance criteria.

Actively mentor Junior Guidewire Developers to enhance their technical skills and build team resilience by reducing key-person dependencies.

We are seeking an Intermediate Guidewire Developer with 1-3 years of direct Guidewire development experience. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with multiple Guidewire products such as PC, CC, BC, and Jutro, alongside practical expertise in complex integrations and distributed systems.

Proven experience supporting technical delivery across various teams or modules is required. A solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and their regulatory context is crucial, as is experience supporting production stability and operational outcomes. Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills are essential for this role.

Desirable experience includes exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) delivery and operations, familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, and observability tools. Experience supporting large-scale Guidewire programs or multi-country implementations, and prior contributions to platform standards or architecture forums are also advantageous.
