Join our Engineering as a Service/Operate team as an Intermediate Guidewire Developer in Hyderabad. You will take ownership of Guidewire components, ensuring code stability, compliance, and adherence to enterprise standards. This role offers an opportunity to be a strong individual contributor while also mentoring junior engineers.

As a key member of the team, you will drive platform and solution ownership by specializing in areas like PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, or Digital platforms. Your focus will be on maximizing out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities and contributing to customizations only when necessary, collaborating with senior technical leads.

Key responsibilities include ensuring technical leadership and delivery governance through peer code reviews and adherence to engineering best practices. You will also be accountable for production ownership by supporting root-cause analysis for incidents and driving permanent solutions. Collaboration with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, and Senior Engineers is essential for shaping solutions, defining scope, and establishing acceptance criteria.

Furthermore, you will contribute to team development by mentoring Junior Guidewire Developers. This role is crucial for building technical depth and mitigating key-person dependencies within the teams, ensuring a robust and knowledgeable engineering unit.

We are seeking candidates with 1-3 years of hands-on Guidewire development experience, including exposure to multiple Guidewire products such as PC, CC, BC, and Jutro. A strong background in complex integrations and distributed systems is required. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting technical delivery across various teams or modules and a solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and regulatory contexts.

Prior experience in supporting production stability and operational outcomes is essential, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Desirable experience includes Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) delivery, DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, and observability tools. Experience with large-scale Guidewire programs or multi-country implementations within regulated environments is a plus.
