Your daily contributions will involve building and supporting scalable microservices and user interfaces for Disney’s Ad Platform using Java and modern front-end frameworks. You will collaborate closely with product, UX, and engineering peers to deliver impactful advertising features. Translate user stories into actionable engineering tasks, managing them from development through deployment. You’ll also mentor teammates through code reviews and guidance, enhance system observability with metrics and monitoring, participate in on-call rotations for operational excellence, and champion best practices in code quality and agile workflows. Utilizing AI-driven automated tools is also part of the role.

We are seeking engineers with 6-9 years of hands-on software engineering experience. Essential skills include proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring Boot, along with experience in modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS. A strong background in relational databases (MySQL, Postgres), RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems is crucial. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
