Key responsibilities include designing, building, and supporting scalable microservices and user interfaces for a leading Ad Platform, utilizing Java and modern front-end frameworks. You will collaborate closely with product, UX, and engineering peers to deliver features that enhance user-centric advertising. Translating user stories into actionable engineering tasks with end-to-end ownership is crucial.

This role also involves mentoring and supporting teammates through code reviews and informal guidance. You'll be responsible for improving system observability by implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting solutions. Participation in on-call rotations is part of our commitment to operational excellence. Additionally, championing best practices in code quality, automated testing, and agile workflows, along with understanding and using automated tools (AI) while adhering to company policy, are expected.

The ideal candidate will possess 6-9 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot. Experience with ReactJS or other modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, Angular) is required, along with a willingness to learn new technologies. A solid background in relational databases such as MySQL and Postgres, including schema and query design, is essential.

Furthermore, experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems is necessary. A strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms, is a must. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, real-time bidding platforms, Spring Boot, cloud platforms like AWS, modern DevOps tools (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes), and data streaming mechanisms (Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, SNS/SQS).
