Join our team as a Junior Test Engineer, a key role focused on ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data transformations during migration projects. This position involves detailed data validation, comparing source outputs with target environments, and ensuring business logic is correctly applied. You will be instrumental in supporting the entire testing lifecycle, from execution to defect resolution, contributing to the success of our data platform modernization efforts.

Your responsibilities will include executing complex SQL queries for data validation, comparing row counts, aggregates, and cell-level data between source and target systems like Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt. You'll validate schema consistency and thoroughly test Informatica mappings, dbt models, and Databricks notebooks. This involves testing incremental loads, performing functional and regression testing, and supporting integration across various data layers. Additionally, you will assist with basic performance tests, monitor pipeline runs, execute test cases, meticulously log defects in tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, retest fixes, and maintain test artifacts. Active participation in daily stand-ups and defect triage sessions is also expected.

We are seeking candidates with 2-4 years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years specifically in Data Warehouse or ETL testing. Practical experience in data migration or data platform modernization projects is highly advantageous. Essential technical skills include strong SQL proficiency for complex queries, hands-on testing experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks, and a good understanding of data warehouse concepts. Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA is required, along with proficiency in Excel. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and communication skills are crucial for collaborating effectively with developers.
