We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to craft secure, scalable, and robust RESTful APIs leveraging Spring Boot. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to develop backend services that power both web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate possesses strong Java fundamentals, extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, and practical skills in designing and implementing APIs.

This senior/lead position offers opportunities to contribute to API architecture and design, focusing on resource modeling, versioning, idempotency, and resilience patterns. You will play a key role in ensuring API security best practices and implementing scalability and resilience patterns.

Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot components like Web, Data, Security, and Actuator. Model and integrate with various databases (SQL/NoSQL), optimize query performance, and manage schema evolution.

Implement robust API security measures including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, role-based access control, rate limiting, and input validation. Develop clean, testable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests.

Enhance performance and reliability through caching, connection pooling, asynchronous/non-blocking I/O, and effective pagination strategies. Implement observability using structured logging (SLF4J/Logback), metrics/tracing (Micrometer, OpenTelemetry), and health checks (Actuator).

Participate in CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments, gaining experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts, with a focus on Azure. Collaborate effectively within Agile teams, contributing to grooming, estimation, code reviews, and documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.

Take ownership of services throughout their lifecycle, from initial design and development through deployment and ongoing production support, with an optional on-call rotation.

A strong foundation in Java 8+ (preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot is essential. Demonstrable experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating with diverse internal and external services is required.

Possess a solid understanding of fundamental data structures, concurrency principles, and effective error handling techniques. Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and Object-Relational Mappers (JPA/Hibernate) is necessary.

Proficiency with Git, including branching strategies, and build tools like Maven or Gradle is a must. Familiarity with API documentation tools like OpenAPI/Swagger and testing tools such as Postman/Rest Assured is also expected.
