This role focuses on Modern Technology & Solution Architecture, demanding strong expertise in cloud-native technologies like AWS, Java, APIs, and Microservices to design secure, scalable, and high-performance payment solutions.

Furthermore, the position requires in-depth knowledge of IT security standards and best practices, including OWASP and PCI DSS, alongside extensive experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging frameworks, and enterprise integrations. A hands-on approach to DevOps and software delivery, encompassing CI/CD, DevSecOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and source code management tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle, is essential. Sound data architecture knowledge will also be a key asset.

Design and architect secure, scalable, and resilient payment solutions utilizing cloud-native technologies (AWS, Java, APIs, Microservices). Ensure adherence to IT security standards and best practices (OWASP, PCI DSS). Implement robust integration strategies using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging frameworks. Leverage DevOps and DevSecOps principles with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Jenkins for efficient software delivery. Apply modern architectural approaches including DDD, EDA, and Microservices. Provide architectural guidance for project delivery, focusing on governance, milestones, and documentation. Champion service delivery and operational excellence, supporting models, observability, and production stability. Effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders including business, product, engineering, and risk teams to deliver strategic Commercial Issuing solutions.

A minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience is required, with a strong emphasis on the Commercial Issuing domain. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of issuing customer journeys and card lifecycle processes, as well as the architectural implications within large-scale payment ecosystems. Expertise in architectural best practices is crucial, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Microservices Architecture, Scalability and Resilience Patterns, High Availability, Performance Engineering, and Cloud-Native Design Principles.

Proven project delivery experience, including understanding of methodologies, lifecycles, governance, and architecture documentation, is essential. A service delivery and operational excellence mindset, with knowledge of support models, observability, incident management, and production stability, is highly valued. The ability to collaborate effectively with business, product, engineering, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders to define and deliver strategic solutions is a key requirement.
