Responsibilities

Define and champion enterprise application architecture strategy using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability. Lead critical technical decisions for application modernization, framework selection, and cloud-native adoption. Architect distributed systems, microservices platforms, and API-driven ecosystems that align with enterprise objectives.

Establish robust engineering standards, governance practices, and reusable frameworks, along with secure development guidelines across teams. Lead engineering teams, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Drive the implementation of non-functional requirements such as scalability, observability, security, and disaster recovery. Conduct architecture reviews and technical discussions to ensure future-ready application ecosystems.

Design and drive enterprise messaging and event-driven architectures using appropriate messaging and event-streaming technologies. Collaborate with leadership teams and enterprise architects to align engineering initiatives with organizational strategy. Promote the adoption of DevOps, CI/CD automation, cloud-native engineering, and containerization practices. Proactively identify technical risks and architectural gaps, developing mitigation strategies for long-term platform stability.

Qualifications

A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience is required for this role. Proficiency in Java 8+, backend unit testing with JUnit, data structures, microservices with REST APIs, multithreading, concurrency, OOPS concepts, JPA, Kafka, Git, MS SQL, and Spring Boot with Spring Security (JWT) is mandatory.

Key competencies include strong technical leadership aligned with business and technology objectives, driving architecture and solution design for scalable, secure, and maintainable applications. The ideal candidate balances delivery accountability with technical excellence, quality, and team collaboration. Building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering ownership, innovation, and continuous learning are essential.

Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders for successful delivery is crucial. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, providing visibility into risks and technical decisions, are expected. Driving engineering excellence through governance standards, automation, reusable frameworks, and best practices is a core requirement. Encouraging innovation through the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies and tools is also highly valued.
