This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java-based backend applications and microservices. You will build and support event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, integrating them with various AWS services and third-party systems. Developing scalable and secure REST APIs is a key part of this role, alongside participating in code reviews to uphold best practices and implementing comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting production issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business requirements, supporting application deployments through CI/CD pipelines.

A strong foundation in Core Java (Java 8/11/17) is essential, complemented by 5+ years of hands-on experience. Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture is required, along with proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. Deep knowledge of Apache Kafka, including its components like Producers, Consumers, Topics, Partitions, and Consumer Groups, is crucial. You should have hands-on experience building Event-Driven and Message-Driven applications.
Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, and IAM is necessary. Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases is expected. A good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial. Proficiency with Git, build tools like Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines is important. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills are a must, as is an understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
