NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled Java API & Microservices Engineer / Architect to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing robust APIs and microservices, crucial for enabling seamless data access and integration within a Fortune 500 company.

This position will focus on addressing the evolving AI/ML and Data needs of our clients, requiring a deep understanding of modern software architectures and data processing pipelines. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of data interaction within our organization.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining secure and efficient APIs for data exchange and integration. You will define the structure and functionality of DataAPIs, write and implement the necessary code, and ensure high test coverage (90%+) for unit, functional, and integration tests.

Additionally, you will automate CI/CD processes, manage microservice development using technologies like Spring Boot and GraphQL, and build common services for logging, error handling, and security. Experience with containerized deployments on cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments is essential, alongside expertise in integrating with databases and streaming platforms like Kafka.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 10 years of overall software development experience, including at least 5 years focused on large-scale data processing pipelines. Proficiency in web service design using YAML (with JSON) and OData is required.

Essential skills include Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, GraphQL APIs, Microservices, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, API testing, CI/CD, and cloud experience (Azure preferred). Experience with Datadog, Kibana, and NoSQL databases is also a must. Experience in disaster recovery strategy development and IT resiliency experiments is beneficial. While not mandatory, UI experience and further cloud or DevOps skills are considered advantageous.
