We are looking for a talented Java developer to join our team, focusing on crafting secure, scalable, and resilient RESTful APIs with Spring Boot. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and DevOps to build robust backend services that power both web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java fundamentals, extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, and proven skills in API design and implementation, including the use of GitHub Copilot.

Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, leveraging components like Web, Data, Security, and Actuator. Integrate with and manage both SQL and NoSQL databases, optimizing queries and handling schema evolution efficiently. Implement comprehensive API security measures, including OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, role-based access control, rate limiting, and robust input validation. Produce clean, well-tested code through unit, integration, and contract testing methodologies. Enhance API performance and reliability through techniques such as caching, connection pooling, asynchronous operations, and effective pagination. Implement observability features using structured logging (SLF4J/Logback), metrics/tracing (Micrometer, OpenTelemetry), and health checks (Actuator). Contribute to CI/CD processes and cloud deployments, with experience in Docker, basic Kubernetes concepts, and Azure being essential. Actively participate in Agile team ceremonies, including backlog grooming, estimation, code reviews, and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger). Take ownership of services throughout their lifecycle, from initial design and development to deployment and ongoing production support, with on-call rotation being an optional aspect.

Proficiency in Java 8 or later (preferably Java 11/17+) and the Spring Boot framework. Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with GitHub Copilot for code assistance. Substantial experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating with various internal and external services. Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts including data structures, concurrency, and effective error handling. Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and ORM frameworks such as JPA/Hibernate. Expertise in version control using Git, including branching strategies, and build tools like Maven or Gradle. Familiarity with API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger) and testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
