Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot components such as Web, Data, Security, and Actuator. You will integrate with and model data from SQL and NoSQL databases, write efficient queries, and manage schema changes. Implementing comprehensive API security measures, including OAuth2/OIDC and JWT, along with robust error handling and performance optimization techniques, is crucial. Ensuring observability through structured logging, metrics, and health checks is also a core part of the role, alongside participating in CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

A strong command of Java 8+ (preferably 11/17+) and Spring Boot is essential, complemented by hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot. Candidates should possess proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating with various services, alongside a solid grasp of data structures, concurrency, and error handling. Proficiency with RDBMS (like PostgreSQL/MySQL), ORMs (JPA/Hibernate), and Git, including branching strategies and build tools like Maven/Gradle, is required.
