Seeking a skilled Java developer to craft secure, scalable, and robust RESTful APIs using Spring Boot. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to develop essential backend services for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate possesses strong Java fundamentals, expertise in the Spring ecosystem, and proven API design and implementation capabilities, including experience with GitHub Copilot.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot, focusing on Web, Data, Security, and Actuator modules. You will model and integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL), write efficient queries, and manage schema migrations. Implementing robust API security measures such as OAuth2/OIDC and JWT, alongside role-based access control, rate limiting, and input validation, is crucial.

Writing clean, testable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests is expected. Performance optimization through caching, connection pooling, and asynchronous I/O will be a focus. Ensuring observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, and health checks is also key. Participation in CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments (Docker, Kubernetes concepts), and Agile team ceremonies like grooming, estimation, and code reviews are integral to the role. Additionally, you will contribute to API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) and potentially share on-call responsibilities for production support.

A strong command of Java 8+ (preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot is essential. Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with GitHub Copilot are required. Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating with various services is necessary, along with a solid grasp of data structures, concurrency, and error handling. Hands-on expertise with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (JPA/Hibernate) is expected, as is proficiency in Git, branching strategies, and build tools like Maven/Gradle.
