Join our team as a Java API Developer, focusing on creating secure, scalable, and robust RESTful APIs with Spring Boot. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps to build the backend services that power our web and mobile applications. We're looking for individuals with a solid foundation in Java, extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, and proven skills in API design and implementation, including experience with GitHub Copilot.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot components (Web, Data, Security, Actuator). You'll be responsible for data modeling, integrating with SQL/NoSQL databases, and writing efficient queries. Implementing robust API security measures like OAuth2/OIDC and JWT, along with comprehensive testing (unit, integration, contract), is crucial. Performance optimization, ensuring observability through structured logging and tracing, and participating in CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure) are also key duties. Collaboration within Agile teams, including grooming, estimation, code reviews, and documentation, is expected. You will own services end-to-end, from initial design to production support.

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Java 8+ (preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot. Experience with GitHub Copilot for development assistance is required. Proven experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with various services is essential, alongside a solid understanding of data structures, concurrency, and error handling. Proficiency with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (JPA/Hibernate), along with Git, branching strategies, and build tools like Maven/Gradle, is necessary. Familiarity with API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger) and testing tools like Postman/Rest Assured is expected. For senior or lead roles, experience with API architecture, advanced security practices, scalability patterns, microservices, message brokers, and cloud-native deployments (Docker/K8s) is highly valued. Mentoring junior developers and leading design reviews will also be part of the role.
