We're seeking a skilled Java developer passionate about crafting secure, scalable, and robust RESTful APIs with Spring Boot. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and DevOps teams to develop backend services that power modern web and mobile applications. An ideal candidate possesses strong Java fundamentals, extensive Spring ecosystem experience, and proven expertise in designing and implementing APIs. Experience with GitHub Copilot is also a valuable asset for this position.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot frameworks. You will model and integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL), write efficient queries, and manage schema updates. Implementing robust API security measures such as OAuth2/OIDC and JWT is crucial. Writing clean, testable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests is expected. Optimization of performance and reliability through caching, connection pooling, and asynchronous operations is also a key focus. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments using Docker and Kubernetes concepts, with Azure exposure being a must. Participation in Agile ceremonies, including grooming, estimation, code reviews, and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), is integral to the role. End-to-end ownership of services, from design to production support, will be required, with optional on-call rotation.

A strong grasp of Java 8+ (preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot is essential. Experience with GitHub Copilot is required. Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating with various services is necessary. A solid understanding of data structures, concurrency, and error handling is fundamental. Hands-on experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs like JPA/Hibernate is required. Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, and build tools such as Maven/Gradle is a must. Familiarity with API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger) and testing tools like Postman/Rest Assured is expected. For senior or lead candidates, expertise in API architecture, design patterns, security best practices, scalability, microservices, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and cloud-native deployments (Docker/K8s) is highly desirable. Mentoring junior developers and leading design/code reviews will be part of the senior role.
