We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient RESTful APIs using Spring Boot. This role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and DevOps to create backend services that power web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate possesses strong Java fundamentals, extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, and proven expertise in API design and implementation.

Key responsibilities include designing and building RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot components (Web, Data, Security, Actuator). You will integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, implement robust API security measures (OAuth2, JWT, role-based access), and ensure code quality through comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests.

Further duties involve optimizing application performance and reliability, implementing observability features like structured logging and metrics, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Active participation in Agile ceremonies, including grooming, estimation, code reviews, and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), is essential. You will also be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of services, from design to production support.

Essential qualifications include a strong command of Java 8+ (preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot. Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating with various services is required, alongside a solid understanding of data structures, concurrency, and error handling. Familiarity with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL), ORMs (JPA/Hibernate), Git, and build tools like Maven/Gradle is also necessary.

Ideal candidates will be proficient with API documentation tools (OpenAPI/Swagger) and testing tools (Postman/Rest Assured). For senior or lead roles, experience in API architecture and design, security best practices, scalability patterns, microservices, message brokers, and cloud-native deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly valued. Experience mentoring developers and leading design reviews is also a plus.
