EY's GDS Business Enablement team is seeking an Assistant Director for Strategy Design & Innovation. This role is pivotal in driving impactful, domain-agnostic strategy engagements across various sectors. You will collaborate with senior leaders to tackle intricate business challenges, employing design thinking and innovation methodologies to craft strategy, uncover insights, and expedite decision-making processes.

Lead and execute strategy engagements, identifying unique client competitive positions and defining strategic pathways. Structure ambiguous challenges and formulate clear, hypothesis-driven strategic recommendations. Apply design thinking principles to define problem statements, foster cross-functional alignment, and co-create solutions with stakeholders. Develop compelling business cases, feasibility assessments, and strategic roadmaps. Design and facilitate focused problem-solving workshops, adeptly navigating ambiguity and unstructured problems. Manage sessions end-to-end, utilizing project management methodologies. Effectively communicate with senior leaders, translating their insights into structured strategy outputs and implementation plans. Develop execution roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives, defining operating models, initiatives, and transformation levers across diverse domains. Assume ownership of engagement delivery from problem framing to final recommendations, working collaboratively with stakeholders. Contribute to knowledge assets, pitch decks, industry viewpoints, frameworks, and innovation playbooks. Analyze industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes.

A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive professional experience is required for this Assistant Director role.

Demonstrate strong proficiency in Design Thinking principles and their practical application. Possess extensive consulting experience in strategy, innovation, transformation, or business advisory areas. Showcase experience in strategy engagements such as Go-to-Market, product, growth, or transformation design, with a domain-agnostic approach. Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities. Proven track record of success in fast-paced environments characterized by ambiguity and shifting priorities, with a history of working alongside senior leadership. Strong collaboration skills are essential, with the capacity to work effectively across diverse teams, functions, and geographies. Familiarity with tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration platforms such as Miro and Mural is necessary. An ability to manage ambiguity and navigate the political landscape of change is crucial.
