EY is seeking an Integration Lead, Asst. Director, to spearhead the evolution of our enterprise integration layer. This crucial role supports agentic AI systems, ensuring their reliable interoperability with each other and enterprise platforms. You will be instrumental in scaling agentic AI beyond isolated solutions by establishing consistent integration patterns, governed access to data, and seamless communication.

This position is ideal for a senior integration engineer or architect with substantial hands-on enterprise integration experience, particularly in integrating intelligent systems. The focus is on thinking in terms of protocols, contracts, and control boundaries, rather than solely on point solutions. A pragmatic approach is valued, with the ability to support both custom-built and platform-based agent ecosystems.

Without a robust integration layer, agents risk remaining siloed and fragile, orchestrators become tightly coupled and difficult to scale, and critical interoperability goals cannot be achieved. This role is vital for transforming agentic AI into a connected, enterprise-grade capability, moving away from a collection of disconnected automations.

Design and standardize integration patterns for agentic AI solutions, encompassing API-based integration, event-driven and asynchronous messaging, and hybrid AI-driven flows. Ensure all integrations adhere to enterprise resilience, scalability, observability, and security standards.

Enable agent-to-agent operability through standardized communication protocols and contracts, allowing agents to discover, collaborate, delegate, and exchange context across heterogeneous frameworks. Align A2A implementations with emerging internal standards.

Integrate and extend leading orchestration SDKs and frameworks, supporting custom-built and platform-based orchestrators. Collaborate with orchestration and platform teams for a clear separation between control and integration planes.

Design and implement integrations with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, enabling agents to discover tools, invoke APIs, and operate through a governed contract layer. Champion MCP adoption across the agent ecosystem.

Lead the integration of agentic solutions with enterprise systems, including core business systems, data platforms, and automation tools. Ensure consistent application of identity, access management, audit logging, and policy enforcement.

Possess deep experience designing and implementing enterprise integration patterns such as API, event-driven, asynchronous, and microservices-based architectures. Demonstrate proven experience integrating complex distributed systems within large enterprises.

Acquire a practical understanding of agent-to-agent communication concepts and interoperability challenges. Gain experience integrating with orchestration frameworks or SDKs used for AI workflow coordination. Familiarity with emerging protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP) is beneficial.

Exhibit strong API design skills, including REST, eventing, contracts, and schemas. Showcase experience with cloud-native services and enterprise integration tooling. Be comfortable collaborating with AI engineers, orchestration leads, security teams, and platform owners.

A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Global IT environment, with at least 3 years in global delivery/transformation and 3 years in global operations, is essential. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI 102), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ 305), or enterprise architecture certifications like TOGAF are highly valued.
