Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for medical devices, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct comprehensive engineering analyses, including stress, thermal, and kinematic simulations using FEA tools.

Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications using software like SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and troubleshoot design issues to enhance product performance and reliability.

Maintain meticulous design documentation, including DHF and ECOs.

Support manufacturing transfer and resolve production-related design challenges.

A strong foundation in mechanical engineering design and analysis is essential.

Hands-on experience with sheet metal, machined parts, fabricated components, and plastic parts (injection molded, thermoformed) is required.

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D detailing with tools such as Creo, NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA is necessary.

Expertise in tolerance stack-up analysis, FMEAs (DFMEA/PFMEA), and design verification/validation is expected.

A solid understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), along with mechanical BOM creation and management, is crucial.

Experience across the full product development lifecycle, including concept, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing introduction, is needed.

Skills in supplier engagement, packaging design, and understanding of strategic sourcing are beneficial.
