As a Siemens Opcenter Discrete MES Platform / Infrastructure Engineer, you will be instrumental in the installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and support of Opcenter MES environments. This role requires a deep understanding of MES application architecture, including Windows Server, database, application services, security, integration, and infrastructure components. You will manage and troubleshoot environments across development, test, UAT, and production, ensuring seamless operation and upgrades.

Key duties include performing installations, configurations, patching, and upgrades of Opcenter components. You will also manage and troubleshoot Windows Server/Linux environments, configure IIS and application services, and support SQL Server connectivity and performance. Collaboration with development teams, DBAs, infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity teams is essential for successful integration and issue resolution.

This role seeks an experienced Siemens Opcenter Discrete MES Platform Engineer with 7-10+ years of hands-on experience. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience is required. Essential skills include Siemens Opcenter MES installation and configuration, understanding Opcenter application/platform architecture, Windows Server administration, Linux Server administration, Microsoft SQL Server knowledge, IIS/application services, MES environment setup, application deployment and release management, Opcenter upgrades/migrations, and familiarity with REST/API and enterprise integration concepts.
