This Senior Developer role within EY's GDS Indirect Tax Global Trade Technology team is focused on delivering technology solutions for Global Trade. You will enhance your expertise in Global Trade, alongside developing strong database and programming skills to create and maintain innovative client solutions.

Enhance an existing ASP.NET Web Forms application by identifying improvements in UI, data handling, and security. Ensure adherence to information security best practices and conduct regular vulnerability assessments. Implement security measures like data encryption, secure authentication, and authorization.

Lead the migration of the application to ASP.NET Core, ensuring a smooth transition and full functionality. Integrate AJAX and client-side frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js) to boost user experience and responsiveness. Optimize SQL queries and data access for efficient handling of large datasets. Develop a Web API layer for decoupled data interactions and implement caching strategies for performance gains.

Utilize asynchronous programming for enhanced responsiveness. Implement data virtualization and batch processing for effective large dataset management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Monitor application performance and user interactions to pinpoint bottlenecks and areas for enhancement.

Demonstrate proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Web Forms, with experience in ASP.NET Core. Possess strong working knowledge of SQL Server, including query optimization and data access patterns, and experience with ORM tools like Entity Framework.

Exhibit strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience in AJAX for partial page updates. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Git is expected, alongside an understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.

Gain experience with caching strategies such as Redis and in-memory caching, as well as data virtualization and batch processing techniques. Possess strong problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is essential. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required, with a Master's degree being preferred. Experience in Global Trade is an advantage. MCSD:AppBuilder, MCSA:Web Applications, or MCSA:SQL 2016 Database Development certifications are preferred.
